As most businesses do, NightLark is starting out with a vision. We plan to look for certain traits and skills in our authors, because when you build a team, the members should be chosen wisely.
This is what our ideal author looks like.
First and foremost is the writing. We want the authors who have the hooks, those crazy ideas that people see and they can't look away without knowing the whole story. The writing is good, yet accessible to the mainstream.
We want authors who are well-versed in the art of content marketing. These are the bloggers, the guest bloggers, the masters of social media who know how to drive traffic.
We want authors who understand the importance of community because that's what we want to build. We have no intention of creating a list of individual authors and sending them off on their own into the wild, blue yonder. We want people who are willing communicate with each other and learn from one another and grow as a result.
Is this asking a lot? Maybe it is, for some people. For the authors to want to make a career of this writing thing, I don't think it’s too much.
